Klay’s ethos stems from a single word - trust. When a client chooses any service provider, trust plays an important role in that decision. This assumes even greater significance in the area of financial services. The global financial crisis took a toll on trust once implicit in financial services. Transaction led or product pushing practices and conflicts of interest led to a loss of trust in traditional wealth management relationships. Large financial institutions claimed to offer “integrated financial advisory”, but were at best manufacturing and distributing products. Klay was formed to address this systemic problem. We are an independent, open architecture financial services company. This gives our team of skilled and experienced financial services experts the freedom to offer independent, sophisticated and client- centric investment advice.

Ian heads Klay Wealth and is responsible for the overall business. With over 11 years of experience in capital markets, Ian has formerly worked with Deutsche Bank as VP, Institutional Equity Sales managing some of the largest institutional investors both within India as well as Foreign Portfolio Investors (long only, hedge funds, pension funds) investing into India. Ian holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Management with a specialization in Finance & Operations from XLRI Jamshedpur.

Kartik has over 17 years’ experience in capital markets in equity research during which he has headed institutional research teams as well as extensively covering the Pharma & Healthcare sector. Prior to Klay Wealth, Kartik was a Director in Deutsche Bank and Head of Research at ICICI Securities.

Akshat Kumar has over 11 years of experience with leading firms such as L & T, Essar and L & T Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd in financial markets, economic research and company analysis. He is CFA & FRM and holds a PGDBM with specialization in Economics & Finance from XLR, Jamshedpur.
